VA Feature: Rosette Elaine Q. Tinguha

Rosette, a law student from Silliman University, is paving her way forward as she was given the opportunity of becoming one of Ripple’s virtual assistants.

She joined Ripple VAs last July 21, 2020. She said, “staying at home all day with nothing to do made me decide to apply for online jobs like Engoo and then Kaye, who is also with Ripple, messaged me regarding the recruitment that was ongoing on Ripple. I was scared at first since I haven’t had the experience of applying for a job yet, but I mustered the courage to send my resume to the management. It was nerve-wracking, but it was all worth it in the end."

Born on October 17, 1998, Rosette Elaine Q. Tinguha describes herself as a person who bites more than she can chew and is a fast learner. In her line of work, she describes it as something that can be good but at the same time, bad. “The good thing is that by saying yes to tasks I am not yet familiar with, I tend to learn a new skill that way. The bad thing would be that there are times where I get difficulties in learning or that I don’t have that much time to learn, and, in the end, I make mistakes.”

Despite the challenges, with the right combination of dedication, determination, and enthusiasm — Rosette has cultivated her skills as a virtual assistant.

Her accomplishments had boosted her and raised her intrinsic motivation level when her first client was given to her by Ripple. She also celebrates puddles of joy from wins, like when a client told her that the marketing strategy she suggested worked and that the client had been gaining a lot of questions about his video courses and sold his certification with her help. “Especially with the fact that I only made that suggestion because he didn’t have a task for me, and I wanted to do something for him that can help his business.”

Her exposure at Ripple has been great — with the right environment, Rosette and her co-virtual assistants get to learn a lot of skills during their weekly Thursday training, Client Ready Programs, weekly mentorship programs, and all other things that help her become a better VA and a person in general. Her favorite thing about being a Ripple VA is when her client sees results from what she has been doing for them. Because of that, she feels like “a child when being told I did a good job and the happiness just bubbles up inside. "

"The feeling is just so satisfying that it motivates me to want to do more for them and help their business grow.”

To sum up her experiences, she said, “All in all, Ripple has been one of the best decisions I made this year.”

Currently taking up law, her central vision right now is to become a successful lawyer someday. Though Rosette said that she need not be the most well-known lawyer, passing the bar exams years from now, just as her elder sister did, would become an incredibly blissful feeling of victory.
