(Meet Em, the first scholar of GNRCC BTGโ€™s Scholarship Program)

Delight yourself in the LORD, and he will give you the desires of your heart. -Psalm 37:4

GNRCC BTG and Ripple VAs BTG have been blessed with successes and wins since we started in January, and one of the proudest moments we have is the launch of the scholarship program and choosing its first recipient. Helping others and creating positive ripple effects - of hope and inspiration - to people surrounding us is one of the company's pillars.

Meet Emmanuel Genesis โ€œEmโ€ Madrid, our first scholar. GNRCC BTG believes that Em will be the perfect first recipient of the grant because not only is he already familiar with the company, but he also loves the ministry. Indeed, he is a student passionate about his dreams and God.

โ€œFinding a college program to pursue has been challenging, but I know God led me to what my heart really wanted. It was also a big help that my family reminded me that whichever course I chose, I'll always have their support.โ€

Em is very eager to start his academic journey at STI College Balayan because some of the most influential people in his life have studied at the institution. He has an academic year gap after graduating from senior high school in 2019, making his first semester as a Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management even more special and memorable.

His struggles and the inevitable setbacks he faced honed him since he was young. He built up his dreams and cultivated the skills he knows will be his lifelong weapon in braving the world. His motivation to keep moving forward despite the challenges comes from his ambitions for himself and his family, and it was a beautiful goal.

If there's something Em is most proud of, it's his slowly becoming independent. He believes in one-step-at-a-time progress because every moment deserves credit for him - good or bad. Isn't that a lesson for all of us to remember?

Savor every moment mindfully. Because sometimes, all you need is to take it slow to move forward.

When asked how he feels about being chosen as the first scholar of GNRCC BTG, he said he would forever be grateful for the opportunity and the people who make it possible. GNRCC BTG may be the one to choose a scholar, but the people around us blessed us to be able to do so.

It was one way of paying it forward to the community, and we are happy to be the instrument to create a wave out of positive ripples. We at GNRCC BTG and Ripple BTG look forward to Em reaching his dreams and praying for the fulfillment of his passionate heart.

Em's story is just the first of many - a steppingstone to helping more student dreamers.
